Bently Agrowdynamics produces high quality composts with multiple and specific plant uses. By processing waste materials otherwise bound for landfills, we produce finished soil amendments and premium compost blends. Our optimized composting technology reduces the need for chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. By adding this rich organic matter to the soil, we are making significant improvements to its structure and quality. Over time, with persistent application, we will be able to convert grounds that have always been marginal into very successful farming plots.

Products

Bently Agrowdynamics enjoys a diverse customer base with needs such as: Bioremediation and pollution prevention; disease control for plants and animals; erosion control for landscaping; composting of contaminated soils; reforestation, wetlands restoration, and habitat revitalization; agricultural industry; and home owners.

Process and Benefits

Composting is a natural process that integrates nature's essential resources: air, water, sunlight, and soil to yield soil amendments from reusable materials. The composting process occurs when microorganisms transform organic waste materials into a soil like product called humus. Leaves, grass clippings, paper, wood, agricultural crop waste, and animal manures are all excellent organic waste materials that can be composted. Compost can also be made from municipal solid waste. Bently Agrowdynamics blends these materials to produce high quality compost.

Compost may either be applied directly to the soil or used as a starter to produce a microbial product called "Compost Tea." Best results are attained by applying combinations of aerated compost and compost tea. This increases populations of beneficial soil organisms that increase the rate at which soil nutrients become available to plants and protect plants from potential pathogens.

Composting helps reduce the amount of waste going to landfills. It is estimated that 40%-60% of the total waste stream are reusable and can be composted.

Composting allows better yields from agricultural processes. Compost technology is a valuable tool already being used to increase yields by farmers interested in more sustainable agriculture practices. Commercial and home growers are discovering that compost enriched soil can also help suppress diseases and ward off pests. These beneficial uses of compost can help growers save money, reduce their use of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, and protect our natural resources.

Compost can be used to remediate contaminated land, reclaiming it for beneficial uses. Each year agricultural effluents, industrial byproducts, and accidental/deliberate release contaminate surface waters, pollute soils, air, streams, and reservoirs. Through our composting technology, Bently Agrowdynamics is able to restore contaminated soils, manage storm water runoff, control odors and degrade organic compounds.

Nine ways compost helps build strong soil:

  1. Improves soil structure by loosening tight clay and clods, by binding together loose, sandy soil, and building soil structure.
  2. Retains moisture by holding six times its own weight in water.
  3. Improves gas exchange for roots and the soil environment.
  4. Replenishes organic nitrogen.
  5. Provides nutrient inputs such as phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulfur, and trace elements needed for plant and animal health.
  6. Neutralizes soil toxins that inhibit microorganism and plant growth.
  7. Retains nutrients for plants.
  8. Provides food for microbial life that reduce soil pests and increase plant productivity.
  9. Replenishes lost organic matter and nutrients to the soil.
